Dear Parents / Caregivers

This is a reminder with regards Easter Holidays.  The school will finish tomorrow at the normal time and resume again on Wednesday, 30 March.  As I have pointed out in previous newsletters it is important for the students learning that they don’t miss days of school with extended holidays.  We expect our students to return to school on Wednesday, unless they are sick or there is a bereavement.

School Fundraising 2005 - Telecom Education Foundation Sponsorship

This is our school’s main fundraising programme and brings into the school approximately $20,000 a year.  All money raised from the Telecom Education Foundation goes towards purchasing ICT equipment, e.g. computers, printers, scanners, digital cameras, video cameras, etc.  This school fundraising programme kicks off tomorrow.  Students are asked to get sponsors.  Details will be provided to all parents in a newsletter which will outline the fundraising project and prizes available to all students.

A reminder that this does not cost people who sponsor the school any money.  Telecom pays the school.  All students need to do is get sponsors from people who use Telecom for their toll calls (private not business).  Please support your child to get sponsors as all money is used to purchase ICT equipment for the school which benefits all students.  At the beginning of this year we purchased another four computers and CD players for classes at a cost of approximately $7,500.00 with other ICT purchases planned for later in the year.

The Telecom fundraising project will start on 4 April.  Students will be given information to bring home next week.
